Rayo · Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 September 2026

Rayo does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. There are no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. The app runs entirely on your phone and needs no internet connection.
Camera and flash. To switch the flash LED on and off, which is what the app does. Rayo does not open the camera, take photos or record video. It only uses the system call that controls the torch.
Location (foreground only). Only if you enable the "speed-based frequency" mode. It is used to read your speed and adjust the blink rate. Location is processed in the moment and discarded: it is not stored, not logged and never leaves the device. If you do not enable that mode, the app never requests or uses location. Rayo does not request background location access.
Motion sensors. The accelerometer is used to detect that you are moving and to recognise braking. Readings are processed on the fly and never stored.
Vibration. For the optional alert when braking is detected.
Notifications and foreground service. To show the notice while the light is on and to let it keep running with the screen off.
Only your preferences: the chosen light mode, the automation switches, the sensitivity settings and the orientation calibration. They live in the app's private storage and are deleted when you uninstall it.
None. Rayo contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and shares no information with anyone.
The app collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
If the app later adds advertising or in-app purchases, this policy will be updated beforehand and the change will be noted on the Play Store listing.
